COMMUNITY
The Forest Explorers strive to be more than just a homeschooling group. We are dedicated to strengthening bonds within our local community, encouraging environmental responsibility and building strong character traits.

01
Acts of Service
Several times a year we dedicate our Thursdays to acts of service throughout the community. Park clean ups, helping local farms, planting trees and filling care kits for the homeless are examples of ways the kids volunteer their time.
02
Fundraising
Our kids participate in fundraising each year to not only raise funds that contribute towards our group but to support charities that are important to us. Last year we raised funds by washing cars for Little Warrior Foundation and sold greenery to adopt families through the Hungry Hearts Foundation.

03
Character Traits
Our group is always looking for opportunities to teach positive character traits including through team building activities, group discussions and pairing the kids with different friends. Additionally, the kids participate in presentations 1-2x a year to grow their public speaking skills and confidence.
04
Support
One of our Explorers, Jaxon, lost his 4 year battle with Ewing's Sarcoma in September, 2025. Childhood cancer is something no family should have to face, especially alone. We are dreaming of the day that a cure is found for this awful disease. Our group is determined to provide ongoing support to Jaxon's family and spread awareness.
